Best Music Distribution Platforms

These days Music industry has evolved to a point that you don’t need a label, you can just simply sign into a Music Distribution platform which will send send your music to all popular platforms, whatever its iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, Amazon Music, Deezer you name it. In this article i showcase some options you have and give much information possible on options out there.

Tunecore

TuneCore is a Brooklyn, New York-based independent digital music distribution service, founded in 2005. Aside from the standard stuff they offer Music Publishing Administration, which offers chances to have your music be played on films, TV-shows and games – they take a 10-20% commission from these deals however and joining fee for that one is 75$ (one time only though).

They also have a service where you can ask for a “direct advance” on your payments (with a small fee) a rather nice feature for those who need their money quickly.

iMusician Digital

This one has multiple tiers for those who don’t want monthly payments, you can do a single payment (Starter, Regular, Rockstar & Pro Unlimited) which all have different costs and different commission, with exception of Pro Unlimited that costs 500€ a year (Which makes uploading stuff and everything free). You have to register each track if you want to auto-claim them in YouTube, costing 1€  per track for first two tiers, other two being free. Big problem with starter tier is that you only get your album/EP/single into 1 store.
