Sneaky Pete Season 1 Review

Sneaky Pete Season 1 Review

Amazon has been recently pretty consistent with their TV-pick ups like Mozart In The Jungle and Hand Of God for example. Sneaky Pete is great addition to their lineup a Giovanni Ribisi starred drama about people who con other people (Imagine Snatch & Oceans Eleven TV-version)

A con man on the run from a vicious gangster takes cover by assuming the identity of his prison cellmate, Pete, reuniting with his estranged family, that threatens to drag him into a world just as dangerous as the one he’s escaping.

The main character-Marius is a confidence trickster and is just getting outta jail but bad things await on the outside. So he comes up with a plan where he intends to assume the identity of a fellow inmate. Once out his plan seems to be working and everyone appears to be falling for the con mans charms- or do they?

After leaving prison, Marius takes cover from his past by assuming the identity of his cellmate, Pete. He moves in with Pete’s long-estranged, unsuspecting family and is roped into the family’s bail bond business. He’s a criminal taking down other criminals.

The series has rather good push from start to finish. The main antagonist played by Bryan Cranston is also pretty cool addition to the cast, he also served as co-producer for the series – him and Giovanni make a quite power couple (With decent supporting cast of course)

Overall its one of the better drama series and one of the better series of Amazon, which i recommend people checking out. As always subscribe to my YouTube for more awesome Movie & TV reviews.
